Sewing Weekend

Today I decided that my puppy crates are an eye sore in my bedroom and I needed to do something about it. Additionally, i had not had a sewing project in a while.

I found a very simple online crate cover pattern and got to work. Below are the results for the first crate and Noel, my Boston Terrier seems to like her new nest. Tomorrow I will begin work on the Rottweiler crate... Might be a bit of a bigger challenge due to the size but I cannot wait to see how it turns out!

Other Crafty Items

Over the past weeks work has kept me way too busy but my bestie's baby shower certainly deserved some special touches. Below are some of the fun crafts completed for last Saturday's events.

In case you had not already guessed, she is having a girl ;-)

Some Fun Projects I Had Not Shared Yet

As I was reviewing my various blog post I realized I had missed sharing a few projects along this journey.

Below is a shrug I completed this past summer for a friend.  She is blonde and blue eyed so this color really complimented her well.  She has worn it quite a few times and always tells me how many compliments she receives in it.  That is such a neat thing!

Also, I had not shared the flip flops that I made for my friends to kick off the summer.

And, I also did a golf club cover and fun summer purse at the beginning of summer.  Both were fun projects that had different techniquest to play with.

Another Satisfied Customer!

My friend received her chain link scarf yesterday and sent me an email about how she loved it! That felt great! She also has some other things she will be sending my way soon to work on. I am looking forward to working more with her and hopefully many more customers one day too!

New Year, New Projects

This year has started off with quite the list of projects to complete. I recently completed a few gifts and one order.

With each project I get more and more excitement over the uniqueness each one has once completed.

Below are two necklaces I did for my dear "Aunt" Karen. She wears a good deal of earth tones and so the multicolor of the first necklace I felt would compliment her style nicely. The second one was a bit of departure as she does not wear a lot of gold. However, I really thought the brown with the gold was such a good combination and would look nice on her. It is also fun to give someone something that you know they would like or look great in but isn't in their normal comfort zone area.

The next project below I actually completed a while ago but it was prior to my venture into blogging my projects. This scarf was a gift for my mom. She is the one who taught me the basics of crochet and so it felt great to share one of my first completed projects with her.

And finally I have my first true order for a RBR Crafty Design creation. A friend had been seeing my photos via Facebook and asked if I could make her a chain link scarf. She sent me a picture of a knitted one and I ran with it but used crochet. I think it turned out nicely and I will be mailing it out to her tomorrow. She has already seen the picture and is quite excited with the result.

More to come!

Other Various Projects - Fun with Yarn!

One of my favorite site is Pintrest, who's isn't?! Well while scrolling thru the array of amazing ideas I found a simple wooden letter decorated and hung. It was very cute but I just knew with a lot of yarn, it would be even more adorable. What do you think?!

Another relaxing because I could project was a set of slippers. All Free Crochet had a link to the pattern and there are so many possibilities with this pattern. Orange and green are my favorite colors so this was a perfect match for me. I am now going to make a couple pairs for some great Just Because gifts!

Many more projects coming soon - stay tuned!!! Live, Laugh, Love RBR - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad
